The Best Undereye Concealer? Look No Further!

Hooray! My first write in question!

Devon Aoki look-alike, friend, and new mommy Jane asks:

Q: "Hey Andrea, I'm trying to find a good under eye concealer. any recos?"

A: Hi Jane! Thanks for asking! Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat is the best and comes in the best variety of colors, but it's a bit spendy. On the up side, you really don't need much so it lasts a long time. It hides a multitude of sins and really does makes you look well rested. It actually scatters light and has some plumping properties to it for crepey skin and fine lines. I'd say with your skin tone,  Look for YSL Touche Eclat in the Radiant Silk shade for light to medium skin with yellow undertones. This is one of Sephora's top sellers, so most stores carry it, even if they don't have an actual Yves Saint Laurent section. If you can't find it in store, there's always online at

Hiding sins since inception.

There's also Touche Veloutee from By Terry Cosmetics which has been called "Touche Eclat with bells on." Not surprising since By Terry's namesake, Terry De Gunzberg invented Touche Eclat!

If you absolutely cannot bring yourself to spend $40 USD on one item, let alone a concealer (although I do believe it is a worthy splurge), other cosmetic lines, both department store and drug store do make similar products.

I have a similar concealer from the Sally Beauty Supply Femme Couture line which I keep in my desk for emergencies. It's a wink and a nod to the original, but not exactly a duplicate.

Welcome back to the land of the living, hot mama!
